Good Neighbours: The Fête of Britain Films at Wrexham Ffair
A new episode, filmed at the Ffair on Saturday, is already online
Sometimes things happen at an event that you don’t expect to see again quite so quickly.
This is one of them.
The Fête of Britain has just released the latest episode of its YouTube programme, Good Neighbours — and much of Series 2, Episode 2 was filmed at Wrexham Ffair on Saturday evening.
The programme gives viewers another chance to see some of the people, conversations and atmosphere that were part of the Ffair, and we’re particularly pleased that the episode highlights the partnership between The Fête of Britain, TCC and Wrexham Ffair.
Good Neighbours at Wrexham Ffair
The episode features a number of familiar Wrexham faces, including Ruth Marshall from TCC, Pete Howell, local councillor and Wrexham City Radio presenter, and Omo from Wrexham Africa Community.
Rather than simply documenting the Ffair, the programme captures some of the conversations and connections that happened around it.
And that’s an important part of what the Ffair was intended to create.
Yes, there was music.
There were workshops, creative activities, food, performances and family activities.
But there was also something less tangible happening throughout the three days:
people meeting people.
People talking.
People sharing their experiences.
People discovering something they hadn’t expected.
People from different backgrounds finding common ground.
A partnership in action
One of the things we’re particularly pleased about is the way the episode recognises the partnership between TCC and The Fête of Britain in making the Wrexham Ffair happen.
The Fête of Britain were part of the Ffair programme and brought their own energy, creativity and perspective to the event.
Having Good Neighbours filmed at the Ffair gives that partnership another life beyond the three days themselves.
And the speed of the turnaround means that while we’re still working our way through hundreds of photographs and video clips from the event, you can already watch this one.

It gives you another glimpse of what was happening around Wrexham Ffair — and another opportunity to hear from some of the people who helped make it happen.
The Ffair is over. The stories aren’t.
We’ve already started sharing some early photographs from the three days, but there’s a lot more to come.
We’re still working through the photographs, video and other media captured across the Ffair, and we’ll be sharing individual performances, activities, people and stories over the coming weeks.
This episode of Good Neighbours is a particularly useful reminder that the Ffair wasn’t simply something that happened between 17 and 19 September.
It created opportunities for people to meet, talk, perform, create and connect.
And some of those conversations are already continuing.
Wrexham Ffair may be over — but the stories are only just beginning.
