Spotlight: Nathan Lee Davies

Nathan Lee Davies, Wrexham-based author and journalist, featured in a TCC Spotlight video.

This revised Spotlight highlights the work of Nathan Lee Davies, a Wrexham born and bred author, journalist and historian whose writing explores poetry, football culture and local history.

Nathan studied at the University of Nottingham, including a period of study in the United States, before working as a features writer and sub-editor at North Wales Newspapers. He has published three books: Dancing on Thin Ice; Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud; and Dirty Old Town, a history of Wrexham Association Football Club.

The accompanying video was originally produced to include Nathan speaking directly about his experiences. However, shortly before publication, Nathan requested that the film be released without his on-screen participation, as he did not feel comfortable with how his condition was visually represented. This request was fully respected, and the video has been re-edited accordingly.

While the revised film cannot capture the full impact of Nathan’s personal contribution, it continues to reflect the principles at the heart of TCC’s work — dignity, autonomy, and the importance of community-based support in enabling people to share their work on their own terms. 🔗 Find out more:
