MHVC Supports Wellfest 2026 in Wrexham
TCC and Advance Brighter Futures were proud to attend Wellfest on Saturday 16 May 2026 as part of the launch activities for the Mental Health Voices Collaboration (MHVC) and the closing weekend of Mental Health Awareness Week.
Held at Llwyn Isaf, the event was organised by Mind Our Future, a charity dedicated to empowering young people in North East Wales to help shape the future of mental health services, resources, and conversations.
Wellfest brought together organisations, families, community groups, and local residents for a welcoming and uplifting day focused on wellbeing, creativity, connection, and support.
Despite some challenging weather throughout the day, the atmosphere remained incredibly positive, with an impressive turnout and a wide variety of exhibitors, activities, and performances taking place across the site.
Visitors were able to enjoy:
- Live music and performances
- Creative workshops and interactive activities
- Barn dancing and circus skills
- Pony petting and family activities
- Exercise and wellbeing sessions
- Community stalls and support organisations
- Local food and drink including wood fired pizza and Peace Kitchen curry
Throughout the day, representatives from TCC met with a number of exhibitors and organisations supporting mental wellbeing across the region. Conversations focused on the importance of partnership working, accessible support, and the value of creating spaces where communities can come together openly and positively around wellbeing.
The event reflected many of the core values behind the Mental Health Voices Collaboration — particularly the importance of community voices, open dialogue, and creating opportunities for people to connect and feel heard.
