On 16th April 2026, TCC hosted an accountability meeting at Holy Trinity Church Greenfield, providing a platform for community members to engage directly with local candidates.

Attendees:

Gareth Ffowcs Williams @conservatives
Carley Murdoch Dyson @GreenPartyofEnglandWales
Carolyn Thomas @WelshLabourTV
Llyr Gruffydd @plaidcymru
Louise Gail Emery @ReformUKOfficial

(All political parties and independents were invited)

In preparation for the event, TCC conducted a series of listening exercises with member groups. These sessions informed the development of six key questions posed to candidates, with five shared in advance and one additional question introduced on the night.

David Hughes, TCC Community Organiser, said:
“It was great to see community members engaging at our TCC Clwyd accountability meeting. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and ask questions from our communities, these conversations really matter.”

The event highlighted the importance of community-led dialogue in strengthening democratic accountability and ensuring that local voices are heard.

TCC will be releasing edited video highlights from the event across its social media platforms in the coming weeks.
