Drosi Bikes Bring Dr Bike to Wrecsam Ffair

On Saturday at Wrecsam Ffair, Drosi Bikes brought along their Dr Bike service, offering practical help to people who wanted to keep their bikes safe and on the road.

Throughout the day, the team offered bike safety checks, general maintenance, puncture repairs and basic emergency repairs.

It was a relatively simple contribution to a very busy day, but an important one. Wrecsam Ffair was about bringing together lots of different interests, skills and communities – and sometimes that means helping someone fix a puncture just as much as it means putting on a performance or taking part in a workshop.

Drosi Bikes is a social enterprise based in Llangollen which promotes cycling as sustainable transport, provides bike maintenance training and works to reduce waste by reusing and recycling bikes, frames and parts.

Their Dr Bike service takes that practical approach into communities, providing safety checks and basic repairs where people are already gathering.
