Hugo Panayiotou

Hugo previously worked at TCC as a Community Organiser and is delighted to return as a Trustee, supporting the organisation’s commitment to community development and social change. He has a degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and has spent decades supporting people living with health conditions and disabilities, helping them build confidence, recognise their strengths and feel empowered to shape their own lives. This belief in people, community and the power of collective action is at the heart of why his role as a Trustee is so important to him.

Hugo currently works as a TransPositive Link Worker at Body Positive, supporting trans and non-binary people to feel accepted, connected and able to be themselves. He is passionate about creating inclusive communities where kindness, humanity and a sense of belonging are valued.

Outside of work, Hugo loves playing guitar, reading and spending time in nature with his dog and daughter. He believes the natural world is one of our greatest, and often overlooked, sources of wellbeing, connection and positivity. For Hugo, a kinder world begins with how we treat one another and the care we show for the world around us.
