Ruth Marshall

Co-Manager for Programmes and Partnerships

Ruth is TCC’s Co-Manager for Programmes and Partnerships, and she joined TCC as a youth and community organiser in 2022. Ruth first experienced the power of youth work services during her teenage years. Ruth was invited to take part in an initiative that trained young people as youth mentors, and then visited other youth clubs and groups to share experiences and deliver informal educational programmes to her peers. This was Ruth’s first experience of being heard and valued as a young person, and as a result was the catalyst and inspiration for the work Ruth chose to pursue to this day. Empowering young people to find their voice and arming them with the tools to challenge social injustice is a legacy Ruth is a product of and wishes to continue.

Ruth wants to work to make youth organising more inclusive and accessible, and has an interest in combining organising and the arts.
