TCC Campaign Kickstarter

Training.jpg

What?
Campaign Kickstarter was developed during the pandemic as an online introduction to community organising and an opportunity for young people in TCC member groups and schools to get involved in campaigning. The training builds skills and confidence so young people can take action on issues that affect them.  Training sessions are interactive and explore campaign issues which are important to young people, and will develop key skills in community organising and campaigning such as working with decision-makers and running effective meetings. This training is also an opportunity to meet with other young people from across North East Wales and TCC staff.  Participants also have the opportunity to join TCC young leaders working on campaigns collaboratively online at our Youth in Action meeting.

When?

This training usually runs online on a weekday evening, for around 2 hours per week over 4-6 weeks. The schedule can be adapted to suit each group of young people. This training is free to TCC members, but can be delivered externally for a fee.

How?

Access to an internet connected device and Zoom is required to participate in online Campaign Kickstarter training. The training will run on Zoom, so participants will be able to see and hear other young people and staff from TCC on their screen, and they can also appear on screen themselves via their device camera if they wish to. TCC will require a parent/carer to give permission for their child to participate

There is no scheduled Campaign Kickstarter training currently, please contact TCC if you'd like to organise any training for a group young people.
